Hiba Zyna

Director

Hiba Zyna is a student at Detroit Country Day Upper School in Michigan with a deep passion for learning, leadership, and service. She is a three-time recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for her ongoing work teaching English to visually impaired students in India. Her academic achievements include, but are not limited to, being part of the Purple Comet 1st Place Team in State, the State MATHCOUNTS 4th Place Team, and the Quiz Bowl State Championship runners-up. A dedicated Model UN delegate, she has contributed to her school earning numerous Best School awards. Hiba is also Vice President of Binary Mayhem, a nonprofit that empowers youth through education in artificial intelligence. Separately, her startup SmartStreets was recognized as one of the most innovative teams and qualified for the semifinals of the Global Startup Competition. In the arts, she has completed the second year of her bachelor’s in Carnatic Sangeetham and Kuchipudi with distinction. Hiba is honored to be selected for the Youth Executive Committee of iStart Valley and is excited to bring her leadership, creativity, and global mindset to help drive meaningful impact.
