Tanvee Sethi

Vice President

Tanvee –a junior at Park Ridge High School in Park Ridge, New Jersey– is passionate about social entrepreneurship and leadership, especially in business. Her love for business stems from her 10+ year journey as a Girl Scout of America, through which she has earned countless community hours, her Silver Award (earned through creating a nonprofit tutoring program), and is currently working towards her Gold Award– the highest award a Girl Scout can receive via a comprehensive leadership program. This year, Tanvee serves as a Girl Scout Representative to the Girls Scouts of Northern NJ, representing 19,000 Girl Scouts in 5 counties. Additionally, she is President of the Diversity Club at her school and the President of her DECA chapter. Tanvee’s journey with iStartValley started in 2023, when she joined the Entrepreneurship Internship and gained 198 community service hours, earning the silver Presidential Service Award. During the program, Tanvee served as group leader of her team, HaloScan, which won first place in the pitch competition and advanced them to the Global Semifinals and Finals, where they were named “The Most Innovative Start-up.” Tanvee and her team are working towards making HaloScan a viable, thriving business. She enjoys playing varsity tennis, reading, and writing in her free time. As the Vice President of the Youth Executive Council, she wishes to give back to her community and foster knowledge in bright, young minds.
