Presenters

Trey Bowles is the CoFounder and President of InnoCity Partners LLC, a boutique consulting firm focused on supporting cities/municipalities, corporations, and innovators working to develop innovative solutions for their communities that support and create the best place for their citizens to live, work, and play. Trey cofounded and is now the Executive Chairman of the Dallas Entrepreneur (DEC) Center where he recently stepped out of his role as CEO. Bowles cofounded and launched the Dallas Innovation Alliance, a public partnership to develop a Smart Cities initiative for the City of Dallas.

Bowles is cofounder and Chairman of the Mayor’s Star Council which is created with City of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings to engage culturally diverse and civically minded group of young professions to make impact on the city.

Trey launched an entrepreneurship department at SMU in the Meadows School of Arts where he still serves as an adjunct professor and most recently Bowles helped relaunch the next stage of the Startup America Partnership as the Startup Champions Network. SCN is national network of professional ecosystem builders working together to support entrepreneurs in their local regions. Most recently Bowles was appointed to the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) as a special government employee by Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker. Bowles, a serial entrepreneur, having built numerous organizations in both the for-profit and non-profit space, lives in Dallas, TX with his bride and three kids.

David Gardner is a serial entrepreneur, writer, adviser, and early-stage fund manager with over thirty years of experience in creating and building software technology companies. After failing at retirement twice, David became the Triangle's most active angel investor spending his time as a volunteer coach and mentor to startup founders and managing a free accelerator he sponsors with the Town of Cary. To combat the lack of early-stage capital in NC, David created and runs Cofounders Capital, a $12M seed fund, the success of which led to a subsequent $31M fund.

As an entrepreneur, David was the founder or co-founder of seven companies including PeopleClick (purchased for $100 million) and Report2Web, which sold for $12M in less than eleven months from inception. He has demonstrated a record for consistency across multiple industries with six successful exits in a row... and one he refuses to talk about. David served as the Executive VP and Thought Leader for Compuware, a Fortune 1000 Corporation, after it acquired ProviderLink, a healthcare IT exchange he founded.

What drives David today is his passion for helping smart, coach-able, first-time entrepreneurs build their businesses, watching them succeed and witnessing their life-changing transformations.
Stacey Ferreira co-founded her first company, an online solution for password storage and management, called MySocialCloud, when she graduated from high school. Through Twitter, she attracted investors like Richard Branson, Jerry Murdock and Alex Welch. She raised $1.2 million for her business when she was just 18 years old. In 2013, Stacey sold MySocialCloud to Reputation.com and went on to publish her first best-selling book, 2 Billion Under 20: How Millennials Are Breaking Down Age Barriers & Changing the World. In 2016, Ferreira was named to Forbes “30 under 30” entrepreneurs. She has also been featured in several other media outlets, including The Huffington Post, Women 2.0, Business Insider, CNBC, TechCrunch, and the cover of Seventeen Magazine. She has spoken at popular technology conferences, including TEDxYouthSanDiego, TEDxNYU, and GRAMMY Media Week and has been a guest contributor to Women 2.0 and Forbes.
Vidyangi Patil is an innovation consultant, and working on her second book for reversing startup and innovation failures (with MIT Media Lab and Harvard Humanities & Social Sciences). From innovation strategy for a high tech Kumbha Mela (pop-up city of 30 million) to guiding AI student entrepreneurs who deploy their solutions to improve the community, with government bodies as clientele, she has advised incubators, startups, non-profits, and undergrads on digital transformation, pivoting, and more; and now her second book is focused on helping first time entrepreneurs and seasoned corporate professional increase their odds of success in problem solving for startup/innovation journey, with short one-page templates.
Magdaline Small runs Go to Market Partnerships for the HubSpot for Startups Program where she works with a global Network of VC firms, incubators and accelerators to educate and support Startups in their growth strategy. A long time HubSpotter and former Sales Rep, she has spent the majority of her time working directly with small to medium sized businesses as they leverage Inbound Marketing and the HubSpot Growth platform to change the way they sell, market to, and retain customers. You can currently find her in LA hiking and spending time with her dog.

Ganesh Iyer is a passionate entrepreneu and he is on a mission to put a positive dent in this world. He has a unique 15+ years background in leadership, strategic planning, product management which allows him to view solutions from a holistic perspective. His laser focus execution has enabled multi-million dollar ROI for all the ventures he served. He was also a Research Assistant in one of the most prestigious schools in Asia- Indian Institute of  Technology (Mumbai). He holds Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University and Dual Masters degree from the State University of New York/Cornell University-Mechanical Engineering & Masters degree from San Jose State University-Biomedical Devices. He also holds Business-Continued Studies (MBA) from Stanford University. He also has a passion for doodling with his comical strip tuuktukk intended to bring out the lighter side to any serious topics.

Javier Gotschlich is the Head of the Hubspot for Startups program in Silicon Valley.  He has a master's degree in Engineering and Management from MIT. Prior to Hubspot, he founded Localbox, a platform to connect local businesses and customers, and co founded a Business Accelerator and Seed Fund to invest in early-stage startups.
