Make Your Own Telescope

iStart Valley brings to you leading edge space education program in collaboration with NAVARS EdTech, a leading Space Innovation Company and Space Industry Leaders working closely with students from various tiers of society and space industry leaders to fill the gap in capacity building among the youth of the nation, help build a sustainable future, and grow the space economy.

Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't there. Sometimes, you just need to look closer. This is where a telescope comes in handy. Telescopes were first used to look for far-off ships, until Italian scientist Galileo pointed the telescope towards the sky. Then it became a tool in astronomy. So, bring out an Astronomer in you and make your own Telescope. During this course, students will participate in active learning through challenges, enabling them to build their own telescope and then gather data using their telescope.

Learning Outcomes

  • Deeper insight into the working of telescopes.
  • Learning the methods of active experimentation and result analysis
  • STELLARIUM Software Training
  • Safety and Maintenance Practices while working with telescope Optics.
  • Applying learned concepts to create a project and presenting it
  • Community and Networking with like-minded students
